The Curse of the Black Baseball Bat
by Sean Hetherington While investigating the death of a local little league baseball coach, a curious baseball player named James Connorson uncovered a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, Black Baseball Bat circulating throughout the NGHS baseball field. As soon as anyone uses the Baseball Bat, he or she has exactly 20 days left to live. The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during day to day life, but when photographed, they look translucent. A marked person feels like a scaly lizard to touch. James gets hold of the Baseball Bat, refusing to believe the superstition. A collage of images flash into his mind: a bony rat balancing on a bloodshot-eyed little league baseball coach, an old newspaper headline about a mugging accident, a hooded bat ranting about skull and a drinking well located in a creepy place. When James noticed his spine had lizard-like properties, he realized that the curse of the Black Baseball Bat was true and called in his brother, a detective named Joe Connorson, to help. Joe examines the Baseball Bat and willingly submitted himself to the curse. He found that the same visions flashed before his eyes. He thought that the bony rat balancing on a bloodshot-eyed little league baseball coach was particularly chilling. When he touched the bat, he officially joined the queue for a supernatural death. About a month later their bodies were found in James' apartment. Investigators say that they were beaten to death with a long, blunt object... more specifically... a baseball bat. Rumor has it, their ghosts still haunt the NGHS baseball field - the same place they found the bat... NGHS: YAY! hoped you liked our very first post. We look forward to getting more emails with your writing. Thank guys!
